As an Account Manager/Marketer, a typical day might include:
- Obtaining underwriting information from potential and existing clients to submit to underwriters
- Presenting quotes &/or renewals to clients, obtaining orders, and binding coverage with underwriters
- Issuing invoices, endorsements, cover notes, financing contracts, etc.
- Inputting data on new claims and updating clients on claims status
- Providing marketing & policy rating services, including technical support to the Marketing Management team
- Liaising with Account Executive to discuss client needs and make recommendations regarding terms & conditions obtained
- Managing daily administration of client accounts (correspondence; policy, contract, and lease agreement wording review; policy documentation issuance)
- Providing technical support to staff for policy coverage & company underwriting information needs, including policy wording review/comparison and review of contracts and lease agreements

- Effectively managing the performance of the team by providing support, guidance, and training as needed for staff development
- Acting as liaison between the Producers, support staff, and Marketers
- Collaborating with the VP of the department to develop and effectively manage workflow systems
- Facilitating regular and productive team meetings
- Performing annual Performance Development Plan reviews of staff, using a coach approach to facilitate engagement and investment in professional development
- Handling a book of Commercial insurance business
